Secret Lake RV Resort in Kissimmee, Florida May 18 - 20

We moved to the Secret Lake RV Resort on Tuesday May 18th. This is a beautiful park and it only cost us $18.00 per night. They have two large pools, one for the family and one for adults. One end of the adult pool is sloped from the deck so someone in a wheel chair can roll into the pool. The lake (pond) is big enough to paddle around but I didn't take my kayak off the camper.

I did have a little problem after we came back from a day at Animal Kingdom in Disney World. The awning on the camper was loose and I decided to back up the truck so I could stand in the bed and fix it. What I didn't realize is was the location of the power and water connection on the site next to us. It was no contest between it and the bumper on our truck. What I discovered was the water line is designed to break under ground if backed into....... and the design worked perfectly. Fortunately the maintenance man had a sense of humor and fixed it quickly. No, they didn't charge me for it.

This morning we awoke to a hissing sound that we didn't immediately recognize. When I finally looked out the window I found a hot air balloon landing on the beach about 50 feet away from the camper. The hissing sound was from the propane burners they use to get hot air into the balloon.
