We left Capitol Reef on Tuesday April 6th and drove to St. George. Wednesday was cold and blustery so we stayed in town and did some shopping and fixed a couple of problems on the 5th wheel. One thing we did decide was St. George is not a town we would like to live. It is too far from a major metropolitan area. One of our criteria is we want to be within an hours drive of a major metropolitan area. The closest large city is Las Vegas and it is a couple hours away.
On Thursday April 8th we visited Zion National Park. This is one of our favorite parks in Utah. This spectacular park is in the gorge of the Virgin river with peaks over 3000 feet above the valley floor. The weather today was beautiful with temperatures in the low 60s.
Friday is forecast to be snowy and cold again so we were not sure if we will stay put or go to our next destination Las Vegas.
